Update required and you can't get past it

Your version of ThatPrompt is too old to keep working. Choose Download Update, install the new version over the old one, and open it again. Your prompts, settings and model are kept.

Why it happens

Sometimes a change means older versions can't work properly any more. When that happens, ThatPrompt shows A new version is required, with your version and the oldest one that still works. Nothing else in the app works until you update. It doesn't touch your prompts.

Get going again

1. Choose Download Update. If your browser doesn't open, go to thatprompt.ai/download yourself.
2. Install the new version. The steps are in Update ThatPrompt.
3. Open ThatPrompt again.

If it keeps coming back after you update

You're probably opening the old copy. On a Mac, check there's only one ThatPrompt in Applications and that you replaced it, not added a second one. On Windows, check you're running ThatPrompt.exe from the folder you extracted the new version into.

Quit ThatPrompt completely from the menu bar or tray icon and open it again. Once the message has appeared, it stays until ThatPrompt restarts.
