Keyboard shortcuts
Last updated 9 October 2026
Three shortcuts work from any app, and you can change them. Everything else works while ThatPrompt is open. Inside ThatPrompt, Cmd and Ctrl both work on a Mac, so use whichever your fingers expect.
From any app
| Action | Mac | Windows |
|---|---|---|
| Open or hide ThatPrompt | ⌃⇧P (control+shift+P) | Ctrl+Shift+P |
| Save a new prompt | ⌃⇧N (control+shift+N) | Ctrl+Shift+N |
| Enhance the selected text | ⌃⇧E (control+shift+E) | Ctrl+Shift+E |
These are the defaults. On a Mac they use control, not command. Change them in Settings, under Shortcuts.

| Action | Keys |
|---|---|
| Move up and down the list | ↑ ↓ |

| Delete the selected prompt | Cmd+Backspace |

| Step out of a folder, or close | Esc |
On Windows, use Ctrl wherever this page says Cmd.
